A wonderful place
to call home.

A resort community on the inside. The Palm Beaches on the outside. Century Village puts an extraordinary variety of experiences within reach—without requiring an oceanfront address.

Our community setting, illustrated. Nearby destinations are separate places, with their own admission and access rules.

The location is part of the amenity.

Century Village’s pools, clubs, theater, fitness facilities, and neighbors are only the beginning. Beyond the gates, a day can mean an Atlantic beach, a museum, a garden, a wetland boardwalk, or a paddle beneath cypress trees.

We are in unincorporated Palm Beach County, with a West Palm Beach mailing address. Palm Beach island, downtown West Palm Beach, the northern coastal parks, and destinations farther south offer different kinds of outings. They are not all next door—but they are part of the region we get to enjoy.

What makes the combination special is the choice: participate close to home, explore farther afield, or simply enjoy a quiet day in the Village.

Trade an ordinary afternoon for blue water

Atlantic beaches. Underwater discoveries. Quiet paddles.

Ocean, lagoon, and river experiences offer very different ways to enjoy the water. Choose the setting and activity that suit your interests, comfort, and mobility.

A beach day on the Atlantic

Start with Ocean Reef Park on Singer Island or explore Carlin Park in Jupiter. County beach parks provide public places to experience the coast; check guarded swimming hours, parking, beach access, and current conditions.

Explore county beaches →

Snorkeling at Phil Foster Park

The Blue Heron Bridge area offers a chance to discover marine life from shore. This is a tidal waterway: consult local guidance on tides, currents, designated areas, equipment, and your experience before entering.

Plan your visit →

An island escape at Peanut Island

A separate island park with beaches and a snorkeling lagoon makes an outing feel like a small adventure. Arrange suitable boat or shuttle access; transport charges and operating schedules are separate from park access.

Plan your visit →

Kayaking at Riverbend Park

In the Jupiter area, Riverbend offers canoeing and kayaking trails as well as walking and cycling routes. Check water conditions, rental arrangements, route difficulty, and weather before setting out.

Plan your visit →

Before swimming or snorkeling, check county beach conditions. Observe flags and advisories, choose appropriate supervision, and do not assume calm-looking water is safe.

A change of scenery. A fresh point of view.

Art, performance, history, and living culture.

Living here puts major cultural institutions within reach of an ordinary day out. Enjoy one exhibition, attend a performance, or make a museum the centerpiece of a visit with family.

Norton Museum of Art

Explore exhibitions and collections in West Palm Beach. Check current admission and eligibility for special offers; a West Palm Beach postal address alone does not establish City of West Palm Beach residency.

Plan your visit →

Kravis Center for the Performing Arts

Make an evening of theater, music, dance, or a touring production. Browse the calendar for the programs you enjoy and compare ticket prices, seating, and parking before booking.

Plan your visit →

Flagler Museum on Palm Beach

Whitehall connects a visit to Palm Beach with the region’s Gilded Age history. The museum offers tours, changing exhibitions, and special programs; check current tickets and hours.

Plan your visit →

Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens

A farther-afield outing in Delray Beach brings Japanese gardens, art, and cultural experiences into the county’s remarkable mix. Allow time for both the grounds and museum offerings.

Plan your visit →

Culture also grows close to home through residents’ traditions, clubs, photography, and shared memories. Explore our clubs and shared interests and resident photography collection.

Slow down and look a little closer

Gardens, wetlands, birds, and wild Florida.

Grassy Waters Preserve

Discover a freshwater wetland landscape and the Cypress Boardwalk. Ask about accessible routes and scheduled programs. Personal watercraft are not permitted; any paddling experience must follow the preserve’s program rules.

Plan your visit →

Mounts Botanical Garden

Enjoy a garden-focused outing in West Palm Beach, with plants and changing seasonal interests. Check the visitor guide for admission, events, accessibility, and weather-related changes.

Plan your visit →

Green Cay & Wakodahatchee

These southern Palm Beach County wetlands offer rewarding places to observe birds and wetland habitats. Bring binoculars or a camera, respect wildlife, and check access, boardwalk conditions, and available shade.

Plan your visit →

Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee Refuge

Explore an Everglades landscape through wildlife watching, walking, and designated paddling opportunities. This is a different destination from Riverbend’s Loxahatchee River; consult the refuge guide for entrances, fees, and routes.

Plan your visit →

Manatee Lagoon

An educational waterside outing with free admission and parking. Wild manatees may gather nearby, particularly in cooler weather, but sightings are never guaranteed.

The advantages of an extraordinary region

Prosperous neighbors. Shared opportunities.

The Palm Beach Daily News identified at least 65 billionaires with strong residential ties to Palm Beach in its March 2026 analysis. That includes seasonal and property connections, not just full-time residents. Publicly reported names include Thomas Peterffy, Julia Koch and family, Ken Griffin, Stephen Schwarzman, Abigail Johnson, Stephen Ross, Robert Kraft, Charles Schwab, Henry Kravis, and Jeff Greene. Beyond the island, Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison has a reported primary residence in Manalapan.

The value to Century Village is not simply being near famous people. It is access to a region where philanthropy, investment, and public resources help support institutions enjoyed by a much wider community.

Culture supported by giving

The Kravis Center relies on donors and sponsors. At the Norton, foundation support made free Saturday admission for county residents possible during a summer program. Such offers have dates and eligibility rules; they are not permanent universal benefits.

Investment in healthcare

Philanthropy is helping fund Cleveland Clinic’s planned West Palm Beach hospital and expanded outpatient services. These projects illustrate broader community investment; planned facilities are not the same as services already open, and donations do not guarantee free treatment or insurance coverage.

A shared public-service base

Valuable taxable properties contribute to county and other applicable district budgets. Benefits depend on overlapping taxing boundaries: Palm Beach’s town taxes do not simply flow to Century Village, and neighboring wealth does not guarantee a lower bill for your unit.

How property-tax funding works

Benefits with tradeoffs

Local spending can support businesses and employment. It can also increase competition for housing, contractors, and services. Traffic, prices, and admission costs matter—especially on a fixed income. Proximity does not establish a measurable net saving for every resident.

More possibilities across the seasons

A climate that invites outdoor living.

South Florida’s generally mild, drier winters make outdoor recreation appealing when much of the country is cold. Warm weather also gives us many opportunities to enjoy pools, gardens, and time outside through the year.

Summer brings heat, humidity, and frequent rain or thunderstorms. Choose cooler hours, look for shade, and switch to indoor plans when conditions call for it. Tropical weather can disrupt any outing; check forecasts and heed local instructions. Our climate is an advantage to plan around, not a promise of perfect weather.

Make the most of where you live

What kind of day would you like?

A gentle morning

Choose a garden or suitable boardwalk, bring water and a camera, and leave time to sit and enjoy the setting. Confirm route length, seating, shade, and accessibility first.

A day with visiting family

Try Manatee Lagoon, a museum, or a guarded beach that suits everyone’s abilities. A memorable visit does not have to revolve around an expensive attraction.

A little adventure

Consider a guided paddle or a properly planned snorkeling outing. Match the activity to your skills and conditions; rentals, transport, or guides may cost extra.

A cultured afternoon or evening

Browse a museum exhibition or choose a Kravis performance. Check dates and tickets, then arrange transport that lets you enjoy the outing comfortably.

Enjoy the region on your terms.

Check official websites for current fees, closures, accessibility, reservations, parking, and resident discounts. Many outdoor outings can be inexpensive, but “public” does not always mean free parking, free equipment, or unrestricted access.

The places listed here are regional outings, not promised stops on a Century Village bus route. Confirm transportation separately. Travel time varies with your starting gate, destination, traffic, season, and bridge openings.

For a prospective buyer, location is one part of the picture. Compare the unit, association finances, assessments, applicable recreation charges, insurance, and your own transport needs before deciding what fits.

Village bus destinations · Prospective buyer guide · Amenities at home

You do not have to own a Palm Beach estate to enjoy a Palm Beaches life.

Century Village offers a home base, a community, and recreation within the gates. Its setting adds another layer: the freedom to explore an exceptionally varied region and come home to your own neighborhood.

Destination links throughout this page lead to official operators or government visitor guides. They are the best starting points for current access and fees. Wealth figures and residential ties reflect dated reporting, not a complete resident register. The cultural, healthcare, and tax examples demonstrate specific mechanisms; they do not establish that all regional amenities were funded by billionaires.
