The Medical Building

Understand what the name means, confirm available services, and know where to turn for emergency care.

A familiar name can create the wrong expectation.

Residents often refer to the commercial property inside Century Village as the “Medical Building.” The name identifies a place; it does not guarantee a walk-in clinic, emergency department, pharmacy, or round-the-clock medical staff.

In a January 2026 response, UCO explained that the building is privately owned and operated and that UCO does not control the type or quality of services offered there. Contact the individual practice for medical appointments, services, billing, and concerns about care.

If you think a problem may be life-threatening, call 911. Do not delay emergency help to travel to the Medical Building, wait for an appointment, or contact UCO.

An example of a currently listed provider

Cano Health’s official website lists a Century Village West Palm primary-care location at 110 Century Village Blvd., Suite 200, West Palm Beach, FL 33417, telephone 561-282-2960.

As checked October 13, 2026, that page lists Monday–Friday hours of 8 a.m.–5 p.m., with Saturday and Sunday closed. Confirm directly before visiting: staffing, appointments, hours, new-patient availability, and accepted insurance may change.

This is one verified provider listing, not a complete tenant directory or confirmation of all services available in the building.

Medical office, urgent care, or emergency department?

The right setting depends on the severity and urgency of the problem—not simply which building is closest.

For a nonemergency question about where to seek care, contact your clinician or health plan’s nurse advice service. If symptoms suggest immediate danger, use emergency services rather than wait for an office callback.

Recognize when to call 911.

Warning signs can include severe chest pain or pressure, severe breathing difficulty, sudden trouble speaking or moving, loss of consciousness, or uncontrolled bleeding. This is not a complete list.

If a condition appears life-threatening—or you are unsure about a potentially serious emergency—call 911 and describe what is happening. Follow the dispatcher’s instructions. Do not drive yourself when symptoms could make driving unsafe.

Give your exact location, subdivision, building letter, unit number, and a callback number. Tell the dispatcher about access difficulties. Do not postpone the call to collect paperwork.

Questions to ask before a routine visit

Confirm insurance coverage with both the office and your plan. A practice accepting Medicare does not automatically mean it participates in every Medicare Advantage plan.

Do not rely on an old directory.

Practices and retail tenants can change. An older welcome packet, newspaper advertisement, or neighbor’s recollection may refer to a service that has moved or closed. In particular, do not assume a pharmacy is operating in the building because it appeared in earlier materials.

Use the provider’s current official listing and telephone number. Questions about appointments and treatment belong with the practice; property-management questions belong with building management. UCO can provide community information, but it is not the building’s medical-care operator.

Prepare your personal care plan

Keep your primary clinician’s number, health-plan advice line, pharmacy, medication list, allergies, and emergency contact accessible. Plan routine transportation in advance. Village buses or ordinary rides are not a substitute for emergency medical transport.

Know your options before you need them. Nearby medical offices can be convenient, while emergency services serve a different purpose.
